Reflections on growth, gifts, communication and the choices that shape a life of meaning.
Gifts and Marketplace
Your skills, gifts, and talents have a commercial value, but you need to learn how to take them to the marketplace. No one is in a state of nothingness, but understand the commerce element of what God has given to you.

Be in Sync
If you must have your own way all the time, you will never be able to live in harmony with others. Your worldview is yours, not others. And always remember, what if you are wrong?
Language & Diversity
People's accents are not a measure of their intelligence. Our languages and intonation should reflect our racial diversity, and we must refrain from creating unhealthy sentiments, reservations, prejudice, or bias as a result.
Applaud Is Not Approval
Audience responsiveness is not a proper measure of effective communication, sometimes, its just a learned behavior for people to scream, nod their head and keep cheering you on, yet they don't understand a jot of what you are saying. A good communicator must see beyond the fog of applaud. There is power in getting feedback, when the air is light and emotions dies down.
Live Now, Age Later
Happiness is a choice, so also is misery. You won't get out of life alive. Live now, age later. Make every moment count.
Raise Your Value
If you are not happy where you are, RAISE YOUR VALUE to match where you want to be. What got you here may not get you any further. Put prayer in perspective and upskill yourself. Paul said to Timothy, STUDY to show thyself approved unto God... not SPEAK IN TONGUES to show thyself approved. Spirituality is not against reasoning. We can be our own biggest obstruction if we do not equip ourselves with the tools the future demands. Prepare yourself before opportunities arrive. Pay today & play tomorrow says, John Maxwell. As Bishop Oyedepo once said, "The playboys of yesterday are the play men of today." Every desired future comes at a cost, pay it early.
A Product of Process
We are all a product of process, not event. We do not become who we are overnight, we've consciously or unconsciously followed a pattern of habits which over time has shaped who we've become. The 10,000-Hours rule still holds true to a certain degree. Take daily action in the direction of your dream, and over time it will compound.
Growth
When you tell people what they want to hear, they don't do what they have to do. You can't be too emotionally attached to people to the detriment of their progress. People who care more about your growth will always have a low tolerance for your excesses.
Rethinking Numbers
When you are starting out, analytics and numbers are not things you worry about, many have silenced themselves with this obsession. Just show up, speak to the audience of one, and stay consistent.
Age in Wisdom
Hindsight is oppressive if we always go back there to see what we should have done differently. At every stage of life, we act based on available data and level of wisdom.
